About Belle Valley Fire Department - Station 36

1St Chief Engesser

The Belle Valley Fire Department is a volunteer department located in the easternmost section of Millcreek Township, a bordering suburb of Erie, Pennsylvania. Our members proudly provide fire suppression/protection, rescue and emergency medical services, hazardous materials response, special service requests, fire prevention and education.

BVFD operates from one station and utilizes two engines, an aerial tower, one heavy rescue, a QRS/support vehicle, and a reserve ladder truck. We respond to a very diverse region of Erie County including urban, suburban and rural areas. These response districts (both first due and mutual aid) include everything from residential buildings to industrial parks, high rises to farms, entertainment facilities to waterfront –and everything in between.

We are one of five Millcreek Township fire departments that protect a population of over 50,000 residents. Belle Valley, along with Kearsarge, West Lake, Lake Shore and West Ridge Fire Departments not only provide fire protection for the Township, but are also joint owners of the Millcreek Paramedic Service, a career (paid) EMS service in Millcreek.

We are always looking for new members. If you are interested in being a firefighter, junior firefighter, traffic control/support member, or auxiliary member – we would be glad to have you in our family. If you would like to help in other capacities such as mechanical, computers, housecleaning or whatever, but just don’t want to be an actual firefighter, that’s fine too. We have an associate membership just for you. If you’re interested in joining our department in any capacity, please go to the contact us section of the web site, call us at (814) 825-4359 or stop by the fire house.
