Fire Prevention

Our department’s Fire Prevention Division provides fire & injury prevention and education programs to citizens, community groups, businesses and schools. Classes are taught by our firefighters, sometimes with the assistance of the Millcreek Township Fire Prevention officials, and at times with/by neighboring departments. We make every effort to accommodate all requests we receive.

Some of the topics we can teach you include

  • Fire extinguisher training
  • Fire prevention in the home & office
  • Emergency planning
  • Smoke detector programs
  • Fire drills
  • Home Inspections (through Millcreek Township Bureau of Fire Prevention)

The members of the Fire Prevention Division have been recognized for their excellence in educating our community.

Nationally, Fire Prevention week is held every year in October (although fire prevention needs to be conducted all year long). Every year we visit our local school’s to teach students about the importance of fire safety. *** School administrators please call early to schedule your fire prevention talk.

To schedule the Belle Valley Fire Department to appear at your event for any type of fire prevention talk, please go to the contact us page of the website, or call us at (814) 825-4359.
