DESCRIPTION:
Just around 2:45 Saturday morning Station 36 was alerted to assist Fairfield Station 26 at the scene of a working fire at Ore’s 955 Automotive on Iroquois Ave. Tower 369 responded along with Utility 367 (Chief 360). Just after going enroute Fairfield Command special called BVFD for an engine to respond also. Engine 363 responded shortly thereafter. Upon our arrival smoke was seen coming from sides A and C of the structure. Both Tower 369 and Engine 363 were ordered to side C upon their arrival. Tower 369 set up for a possible masterstream operation while crews from the engine went inside to assist on the interior attack. The crews worked inside for 15-20 minutes knocking down the remaining flames. They were assisted inside by crews from Fairfield, Kuhl Hose, Harborcreek, North East and Wesleyville. Crews from Brookside and Erie handled roof top operations. Station 36 units returned in service 3-1/2 hours later.
