DATE:
Sunday November 20

LOCATION:

DESCRIPTION:
Station 36 was dispatched for a structure fire a little before 5:30 Sunday morning. Erie County Dispatched advised this to be a chimney fire. Upon Chief 360’s arrival to the 2 story residence nothing was visible. We were advised by homeowners that sparks were coming from the top of the chimney. The crew from Engine 363 cleared out the fireplace while the crew from Engine 683 checked for extension. Tower 369 laddered the house and checked the chimney. Truck 249 staged as a RIT team. Companies had to dismantle a portion of the fireplace to ensure all the fire was extinguished. Apparatus remained on scene for an hour.
