BVFD Assists Perry HiWay at MVA

DESCRIPTION:
Three people suffered injuries after their vehicle left Route 97 near Sampson Road around 11 p.m. Sunday.
The Pontiac Grand AM was southbound when it left the road and struck a ditch and telephone pole then rolled over several times. The vehicle came to rest on its roof and burst into flames. All three occupants of the car were ejected. They were all transported to Hamot Trauma Center.
There was a report that a fourth person was in the vehicle. A large area search was initiated to look for the missing occupant. BVFD was dispatched just after midnight to assist with the search. Rescue 368, Engine 362 and Utility 367 responded. 36's crews searched two different areas until the search was called off. Crews from Perry HiWay, Waterford and Kuhl Hose also performed the search.
PA State Police believe that the vehicle involved in the crash may have been stolen from Chautauqua County, N.Y. PSP is still investigating the accident.
