DESCRIPTION:
A residental structure fire in Station 44's district required both engines from BVFD to assist on Memorial Day afternoon. The alarm was sounded around 3pm to assist Kearsarge with one engine at a house that may have been hit by lightning. A severe thunderstorm was rolling through the area at the time of the call. Chief 440 was first to arrive and reported smoke showing and then a working house fire. A second engine was then requested by command to respond. Crews worked for over an hour bringing the fire under control. Engine 362 & 363 performed water supply, RIT, suppression & overhaul operations while on scene. There were no injuries.
