Interstate 90 Semi Fire
TYPE: Tractor Trailer Fire
DATE: March 31st
LOCATION: I-90 Just off Route 8
DESCRIPTION: While Tower 30 was enroute to welcome back Marine Reserves from the Iraq War, BVFD and Kuhl Hose were dispatched to a tractor trailer fire on I-90. West Ridge Tower 10 was also at the welcoming ceremony and responded along with Tower 30. Deputy Chief 362 was first to arrive and reported nothing showing. Towers 30 & 10 arrived just after 362 and found that there was no fire but a hydraulic leak. Engine 683 was enroute but was returned by command. Crews were on scene for a short time and returned to the ceremony.
