TYPE: Structure / Garage Fire - Mutual Aid to Kearsarge

DATE: February 23

LOCATION: 500 Wilshire Drive

DESCRIPTION: Engine 32 responded on the first alarm assignment for a garage fire in Kearsarge's first due district. First arriving apparatus found a heavily involved garage with exposures of another garage and a vehicle. Due to the fast moving fire the adjacent garage and vehicle did subsequently catch fire as well. A second FAST team was requested after the original FAST team, Engine 683, was put to work with suppression efforts. All crews did a god job at knocking down the intense flames and keeping the fire from spreading any further. Later into the operation Rescue 38 was requested to the scene for manpower. It took less than an hour to bring the fire under control. There were no injuries.
