| Best BVFD Experiences | Running the pumper at the Lighthouse Street fire. ABC construction when we did everything ourselves at the fire station, and then some. Putting up the building addition in 1980 was really great, and the amount of people who worked together was incredible. We never paid anybody to do anything. I will never however rebuild another ladder truck ourselves. |
| Most Memorable Calls | Either putting out the Church and Murdock fire on top of the old stick, or the Lakeview Apartment'a fire on 6th street where we used almost all the hose off of Engine 31. I figured we were pumping in the neighborhood of 2500 gpm plus – (pump ratings are at 10 ft lift, not 3 incoming lines under pressure). Second call of career - fatal MVA on Route 8 |
