Fairfield Firefighter Killed in Afghanistan

Bryan Bell, a twenty three year old from Harborcreek, serving in the United States Air Force was killed Thursday in Afghanistan.
Bell served as an explosive ordinance disposal technician, and has been in the USAF since 2007.
The Harborcreek native was a 2006 graduate of Harborcreek High School and was a volunteer firefighter with the Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department. Bell's father is Fairfield Deputy Chief Rick Bell.
Belle Valley Chief John Semple, who knew Bell, said that "Bryan was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. He will be deeply missed".
The members of the Belle Valley Fire Department send their condolences the the family and friends of Airmen Bell. Our thoughts and prayers are also with the members of Fairfield Fire Dept.
