Belle Valley Escorts 9-11 Steel Piece
On Tuesday August 16th , Belle Valley Fire Department had the honor to escort a piece of the World Trade Center to downtown Erie. The 17 foot piece of steel will become part of a September 11th Memorial in Erie. A procession of fire, EMS and police units began at Birkmire Trucking on Sterrettania Road and proceeded to the Erie Insurance Building. A presentation was then held at Erie Insurance followed by a reception.
Also participating in the procession along with Belle Valley's Engine 362 were Kearsarge FD, West Lake FD, West Ridge FD, Lake City FD, the Erie County Sheriffs Office, Emergycare and Millcreek Paramedics.
