Engine 363 Goes to Perry HiWay Open House

June 6, 2010 | News

On Sunday June 6th, Perry HiWay Hose Comapany held an open house to show off their new firehouse. The new Station 43, which went into operation early this year, is located on Oliver Road just south of Robison Road.

The new firehouse is a 4-bay station, two if which are drive through. There is a training room, equipment cleaning/maintenance room, male and female dormitories/bathrooms, office space and a lounge/kitchenette. Also part of the new firehouse is a large banquet facility.

Throughout the day members of PHHC showed off their firefighting & rescue apparatus and equipment as well as the new building. There were demonstrations held all day long.

Along with PHHC, area departments also had apparatus on display. Belle Valley brought Engine 363. Other departments in attendance included Kuhl Hose, Waterford, Kearsarge, West Lake, McKean and Brookside.

Thanks to Chief Gretchen Hayford for the invitation and opportunity to attend the open house.
